McKenzie recently signed to Jenna Jameson’s ClubJenna and is already in Southern California doing what she does best: doing everyone.

It was hard to transcribe this interview, as I was lulled into a sweet trance by McKenzie’s alluring accent, which goes down as smooth as a pint of British lager. But as a professional, it was my duty to get dirty, and the nasty porn star from the motherland was happy to go there with me.

You said you were a shy youngster. How did you make the transition to a topless dancer and adult film star?
When I was at school I was really, really shy, but I made that transition when I did my audition for a job at a strip club. That was the start of me coming out of my shell.

What brought you to that audition?
An ex-boyfriend of mine, who was a DJ in Birmingham, which is a really big city, and he said to me, “You should [strip].” I was like, “Shut up, I don’t even take my clothes off in front of you, let alone anyone else.”

I was living by myself in a little one-bedroom flat and I was just kind of bored of being . . . normal. The job I had wasn’t really paying great money so I decided to give it a try. But literally the audition took me like two months to complete, if you know what I mean.

No, what do you mean?
Oh, God, I just kept putting it off and putting it off and putting it off and then when I finally did it, it was the most nerve-wracking thing I’ve ever done in my life. My knees were actually knocking. The first time I felt my legs shake.

How long did it take you to get comfortable dancing naked?
It didn’t take me long, you know, like a duck to water [laughs], probably a week or two before I found my feet.

Obviously, you learned to like it.
I loved it. My main passion in life was dancing since I was young. This was just a great way for me to earn money and do what I love doing. It’s cool.

Do your parents know how you make a living? What do they think?
My mom’s cool. I’m sure if she had it over to live again, she’d do it.

She’d be a topless dancer?
She hasn’t said that, but I’m sure if she had it over to live again she’d definitely think about it. My mom was always very sexually open anyway. If I ever had a question she’d always tell me the truth.

And my dad, he’s a very well-to-do straight-laced kind of guy who worked since he was sixteen and he’s now sixty-two at the same job. But he’s cool because he knows that he was the black sheep of his family and I definitely am of mine. He kind of knows where I come from. I got to say that he probably doesn’t like what I do, but he accepts it.

How did you lose your virginity?
I was drunk at the time and it was with the boyfriend I was talking about. I was a good girl. I was probably seventeen, eighteen, which in my eyes is very good. But the time we got ’round to it I just wanted to get it over and done with. I don’t really remember it, but I know it hurt a little bit.

How did Jenna Jameson discover you?
I’d seen her at the AVN convention. She’s always been a big idol of mine. I was reading her book. I was at the AVN and with my agent at the time. He walked past her and at first I was really star struck. It’s the first time I’ve ever really been star struck in my life. I’ve danced for a lot of famous people and I’ve never been star struck.

I really wanted to meet her. The agent tried to drag me on stage where she was and I was like, “No, I don’t want to go up!”--me, still being shy. She called my agent after the show and said she was thinking of signing me. She wanted to speak to me. One of the things she said was, “Would you be interested in signing a contract with me?” I was like, “I’d have to be dead not to . . . hello?”

She asked me over to her house for a test shoot, so I went over, then two days later they sent me the contract by email.

What does it mean becoming a ClubJenna girl?
It’s huge, but it’s not even sunk in yet. I’ve done my first two shoots for them, which will be in Jenna’s gonzo line, and one with Krystal Steal that may be a feature.

It’s kind of weird, of the girls that Jenna’s got I’m the hardest in my sex scenes. I’m the odd one out. I’m wild when it comes to my movies. The girls, they all enjoy what they do, but they have limitations. I have limitations, but I’m just a lot more wild: I do anal, I do DP, the more guys you get the better and the “Let’s just do it” kind of thing.

It means the world to me to be a ClubJenna girl, but it hasn’t really sunk it yet, I’ve got to say.

You already are quite well known in England. Are British porn movies different than Yank features?
Oh, definitely British porn movies are different. We’re on the gonzo tip. In Britain anyone who’s got a camera can make a porn film, if you know what I mean. But the companies that are out there are very professional. But there’s a huge amateur population as well.

In Britain all we really do are the gonzo movies for now. Nobody’s got the money to do a huge feature film like out [in L.A.]. You guys here, living in L.A., there’s lots of sets and it’s easy to get stuff. In Britain it’s not like that.

Tell me about the risqué TV show you host back in England?
I hosted for Playboy, called Night Callers, the same one you got here. It was just the British version. There was another TV channel I used to work for called Babe Cast. The girls present on the show and then three of them will be talking on the phone to guys, but very mild-like. You got twenty-five callers calling you.

The TV show is fun. We get to wank guys off all night long and stuff. The guys just phone in. Some of the girls will keep the guys on the phone, but me I’m just like get it over and get on to the next one. I get really bored after a while. Some of the guys will be really lovely and just phone you up for a chat, which I find strange at one-pound fifty a minute.

Jenna described you in an interview as having “no fear,” and you are quoted as saying you love “gonzo stuff,” so is there anything you wouldn’t do onscreen?
I draw the line at over five guys [laughs]. Really, I’d like three. That’s the good number for me because there are only so many places that you can fit a guy, if you know what I mean. The other two are kind of left out.

My limitation is probably five guys, which is what I’ve done before. I’ve not done it for Jenna, but I’ve done it. I do have very strict boundaries, but it just happens I’m very wild when it comes to my scenes.

The shy girl who has become the wild girl, huh?
When I do my sex scene, like the other day I was on set and there must have been like twenty people on the set. I totally forget they’re there. It’s like I turn into the devil. I forget about the camera and go into my own little world. I can barely remember the script. I throw that in there, but generally I’m just more open than any of the girls that Jenna’s got for now.

You’ve said you like to have sex with both men and women. Who make the better lovers?
I’m greedy. I’d like one of each.

So you’re just a glutton then?
I’m a glutton for punishment, really. Ask me and I’ll do it.

What’s next, any plans to break into mainstream films?
Not really. I’m waiting to see what Jenna’s got in store for me because I’m sure she’s got some great things lined up. She knows what I can do. She’s seen what I can do. I’m sure she’s got some things up her sleeve.
