The film stars Channing Tatum as a wealthy tech guru who meets a waitress played by Naomi Ackie at a gala. They get together and he invites her to come with him and his pals to a private island for a rich boy fantasy vacation. They start off having a swell time in paradise and we are sure that views of babes in the movie like Geena Davis and Alia Shawkat will make us all swell.

The trip goes so well that everyone wants it to last forever. Maybe it will? The waitress starts feeling like time doesn't exist and her reality may not be what she thinks it is. Is there something off about the island itself? Or is it the people she's with? Or both? She has to figure it out before it's too late.

Channing Tatum has said in interviews that this is the darkest and scariest role he has ever played. He and Zoë Kravitz insist that the themes in this thriller are sick and twisted. Well, I can't wait to see how this plays out! Between the plot and the cast, things seem like they are going to be very skinteresting.

You might think that a Zoë Kravitz-directed film sounds familiar. You would be correct! News of her feature film directing debut came out in 2022. The title was originally Pussy Island.

By all accounts, Zoe really wanted to keep the original title. This happens a lot in Hollywood where a film is sold with a salacious title - which is part of what makes everyone so interested in it - but the title gets changed at the last minute to not offend audiences. For example, Liz Meriwether's No Strings Attached was originally called Fuck Buddies.

She has previously said of the title: "The title is the seed of the story. It represents this time where it would be acceptable for a group of men to call a place that, and the illusion that we're out of that time now."

What happened to that original title? We don't know, but whatever happened with it Zoe is at peace. She is simply thrilled to have her art enter the world. She has previously said of the project, “I was reminded that I’m an artist. Being an artist is not about everybody loving you or everyone thinking you’re hot. It’s about expressing something that will hopefully spark a conversation or inspire people or make them feel seen. I think I’m in a place right now where I don’t want to express myself through a caption or a tweet. I want to express myself through art.”
